Our view of what Chiropractic can do for you is far beyond treating neck and back pain..."

My Chiropractic Journey
My chiropractic journey started in my senior year of college. On a trip home from school I was rear ended on I-40 by a large semi-truck. Luckily I walked away from the crash but soon started having complications. As time passed I began having neck and back pain and decided to visit a family friend who was a chiropractor in my hometown. I had never been to a chiropractor and was curious to see what he could do for me. I started care in his office and he helped me tremendously. I healed quickly from the crash injuries, but then noticed I was being helped with other problems that I never told him about. For years I had suffered with headaches and lived on Excedrin while in college, which I thought was "normal". I had also had low back pain since childhood and the medical doctors always told my parents I would "grow out of it", which never happened.
I noticed that once I started under chiropractic care I no longer needed Excedrin and my low back didn't hurt anymore. My overall quality of life was greatly improved!
After graduating from college I began working in our family business and life was good. I soon noticed that I had a calling to serve people in a new way and my calling was Chiropractic. I left the family business, moved to Dallas and began Chiropractic college with a desire to help others in the same way I was helped.
Chiropractic Education
I attended Chiropractic college at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, which is regarded by many in the profession as one of the premiere Chiropractic institutions. While at Parker I was exposed to the Gonstead system of chiropractic and have studied and practiced this system exclusively.
Our Chiropractic Philosophy
I encourage people to think outside the "medical box". I hate to see people just survive and not thrive. Our philosophy is that we want people to be able to be happy and as active as they want with as little limitation as possible. Our view of what Chiropractic can do for you is far beyond treating neck and back pain. I believe that people of all ages should be under regular chiropractic care to give them the greatest health potential possible.
Our philosophy is that chiropractic care is not an "alternative" to medicine, but rather, a way to help people improve their quality of life.
About Dr. Chris Waldell
I am married to a wonderful wife, Terrie, and have a daughter, Sidney, and son Luke. We live in Shawnee and love raising our family here. I love to spend time with my family, work in the yard, travel, snow ski, cook, entertain - anything with laughter! I also love to run and participate in races from 5K's to half marathons.
I receive chiropractic care on a regular basis to help keep my body working at its best. My wife and kids also receive regular chiropractic adjustments to stay healthy and balanced. We try to eat a healthy diet (most of the time....) and do use whole food vitamins as well as fish oils. Our kids have been raised in the chiropractic lifestyle and have maintained excellent health and have avoided the "normal" childhood illnesses.
I have observed that our current "health" care system is actually a "sick" care system. We have been trained that if we "feel good" then all is well and that we should wait for symptoms to develop before seeking care. This is not the system I choose to use for me or my family. I feel that "health" care is far more than the use of drugs and surgery to treat symptoms.
Our office has consistently grown due to word of mouth and referrals from those that we have served. Thank you for visiting our site, give us a call to learn how you and your family can benefit from chiropractic care!
